On October 29th, 2005, Faramarz Aslani will be awarded the prestigious GOLDEN LION Award, by the Persian Academy for his musical achievements as a singer/songwriter.

The Persian Academy Awards is presented by the International Further Studies Institute (IFSI), to those recipients whose achievements in various fields of Arts and Music are recognized by the Academy members.

Unable to attend the ceremony, Faramarz Aslani sent the following message to the Academy's gala ceremony in Budapest, Hungary:

" Good evening Ladies and Gentlemen and honorable Members of the Persian Academy.

I would like to thank all of you for bestowing upon me such a prestigious award. I must express my deepest regrets for not being able to attend the ceremony tonight, but I hope that I am successful in expressing my heart-felt gratitude for your recognition through my music in years to come.

I would also like to congradulate all my fellow awardees in their fields and hope that they carry on their good works for many more years.

Last but not least, I hope that people of this planet we call Earth, shall live in peace and harmony.
